Expressive Urban Figurative Style, this work translates the vibrant essence and historical soul of the undeveloped city of Porto. The composition captures the urban amphitheater of Ribeira, where traditional houses overlap in a dense, colorful, and light-filled cluster, culminating in the horizon marked by the towers and domes of neoclassical and baroque architecture. At the base of the canvas, the Douro River serves as a stage for the iconic Rebelo boat – the greatest symbol of the wine-making tradition and the transport of Port wine – recounting centuries of history.
